An exiled Bhutanese take up suicide in The Netherlands, now the second one

24th Nov 15 . Another exiled Bhutanese refugee forced to immigrate to The Netherlands took up suicide. ' Its believed, in this initial phase, that he cycled to the railway line and laid himself there and left his body' said a family related by phone about the death of Phurba Tamang. Phurba left his body this way untimely on 24th November 2015 during the day. Phurba Tamang was a Bhutanese by birth originally from Kamidara village, Sarpang district. After spending several years in the UNHCR refugee camps in Nepal he was invited by the Dutch government upon forwarded by the UNHCR for the 3rd country resettlement  about four years ago. He was given a home, a second life at Wageningen, The local government authorities kindly took helpful steps for his final ritualistic ceremony.  Sadly, his ultimate rituals is arranged for 30th November at 12 to 14hrs at Slingerboslaan 15, 6718 ZA Ede. Symposium on 'Gross Spiritual Happiness' / 'Bruto Spiritueel Geluk' by HH Bakti Caru Swami Maharaj

Update 2nd June after the session: His Holiness Bhakti Charu Swami Maharaj accompanied by HH Bhakti Prema Swami and four brahmacaris kindly blessed Naamhat Boxtel on 2nd June with their auspecious visit. In transcendental pleasure maharaj performed aarati to our deities and offered garland to Srila Prabhupada. Then caran avisekh, a rare chance of blessing was kindly bestowed to the host that we did together.  HH Bhakti Charu Swami addressing the 'happiness symposium'. Maharaj then preferred to take little rest as he was tired due to travel. Reversing issue of Bhutan's 'Gross National Happiness'

Happiness is the moment of the cessation of suffering- His Holiness Bhakti Charu Swami Maharaj. 24-04-2015, Netherlands. Bhutan's development philosophy of so called ' Gross National Happiness' is slipping backward.  When His Majesty the King Jigme Singey Wangchuk explored the possibilities to  garner Kuwaiti fund and make diplomatic ties with the Muslim countries in early 1980's, the Indian congress in power under Rajiv Ghandhi was not happy on this drive of the monarch. In an interview in New Delhi, the king was questioned of the low Gross Domestic Product index in Bhutan. A witty answer was given by the king - 'as long as people are happy with whatever resources they have what is the use of high GDP index?. We pursue instead the 'Gross National Happiness'. I believe someone as special as a mother, sister, niece, girlfriend and wife need to be celebrated more frequently. Nevertheless, I take the opportunity of this year’s women’s day to pay tribute to the beautiful women in my life. As I do so, I wish that these same women happen to me in my next life. I know Buddhistically, it calls for good karma. My mother died of complications from postnatal placenta retention when I was barely five years old. Angkor: The India’s great influence of the past in Cambodia

This is research report,  used to produce a documentary film by OHM en Rob Hof. The documentary was broadcasted on 12/12/2007 on Nederland1 TV Channel.
